The Commonwealth Homeowners Association

Forum Update

The Commonwealth Homeowners Association Board of Directors had an open forum on Thursday, July 28, 2011 to hear from concerned homeowners on a proposed revision of the Architectural Control Guidelines that were updated in 2010.

In particular, a group of homeowners had requested that the guidelines governing doors and windows be modified to allow for non-traditional designs.  After listening to the homeowners, the Board decided that there was no compelling reason to change the Architectural Control Guidelines.

The board feels that a consistent architectural style better serves the long-term interests of our 1100+ homes.  Architectural Control Guidelines are revised on a periodic basis by the Modifications Committee and approved by the Board. Homeowners are encouraged to get involved in the community, join committees and run for board positions.
